Dr. Golas is a scientific product professional with over a decade of experience in biomedical sciences and the biotechnology industry, where he has led cross-functional teams and a wide range of research and development projects. His expertise spans research in microbiology, immunology, and oncology, clinical and translational development, and commercial strategy, where he has contributed to significant advances in precision medicine, therapeutics, and biologics.
He excels in analytical problem-solving, technical leadership, end-to-end project management, communication, and cross-team collaboration. Through his work, he has overcome major barriers in vaccine development to advance drug discovery, authored multiple scientific publications, formed cross-disciplinary and cross-sector partnerships, and helped secure more than $6M in revenue growth.
Beyond the lab, Dr. Golas brings business acumen and experience in market research, product strategy, intellectual property, and commercialization pathways, sharpened through OHSU’s Biomedical Innovation Program, where he developed and pitched a $100K business case. He has gained additional industry-relevant skills and training through the BioCatalyst program. Together, these experiences have strongly equipped and prepared him to transition seamlessly into the next step in his career.
He is actively pursuing Product Management roles, as well as adjacent areas in Quality Assurance, Product Marketing, and Business Development. He is highly motivated to connect and discuss career opportunities in Oregon and across the West Coast.
