Oregon Biotech Caucus & Life Sciences Taskforce: OHSU Tour and Reception

The Oregon Biotech Caucus and Life Sciences Taskforce are invited to an engaging afternoon at OHSU’s Knight Cancer Institute, designed to showcase the groundbreaking work taking place at the forefront of cancer research and innovation.

The program will begin at 1:30 pm with a warm welcome and informal gathering, offering attendees time to connect over light refreshments before the program begins. Opening remarks from institutional and legislative leaders will set the stage for the afternoon.

At 2:00 pm, guests will embark on a guided tour of the Knight Cancer Institute, with participants divided into small groups to experience the facility’s cutting-edge labs and collaborative spaces. The tour will highlight OHSU’s pioneering approach to early cancer detection and translational science.

Following the tour, attendees will reconvene at 3:00 pm for a presentation and discussion exploring the impact of this work, including insights into scientific advancements and the patient perspective. This session will provide an opportunity for dialogue around the future of life sciences in Oregon and the role of public-private collaboration.

The afternoon will conclude with a networking reception from 4:00–6:00 pm, featuring appetizers and refreshments, and offering attendees the chance to continue conversations, build connections, and foster partnerships within Oregon’s growing biotech community.
