• $15.7 billion in total economic output created in Oregon by life science establishments and life science research combined
• 1,480 private life science establishments directly generated $7.6 billion in output  
• 16,820 workers in private life science earned $1.5 billion in wages  
• Over $1.8 billion in total income for private life science employees, including payroll taxes and benefits  
• $1.4 billion in other income generated from profits, royalties, rents, and dividends  
• $4.4 billion in exports accounted for 58 percent of private life science industry output  
• $245.9 million in state and local tax and fee revenues generated by private life science
• $88,440 average annual wage in private life science, 50 percent higher than the statewide private sector average  
• 535 private life science firms located outside the Portland area employed 6,640 people and generated $481.1 million in wages
