2025 Pitch Challenge Finalists

The Innovation Showcase Pitch Challenge connects researchers and entrepreneurs with industry leaders in the bioscience trade. Fast-moving pitch competitions demonstrate how basic and translational research create the knowledge base that enables commercial innovation in healthcare and drives the critical pipeline, where clinical breakthroughs become deliverable as real-world products and services, including therapeutics and medical devices.  All finalists are based in Oregon or Southwest Washington. The showcase competition features two tracks with two categories:

• Research Fast Pitches – High schoolers, graduate students, post-docs and research associates will present their unique research propositions, arguing the critical need for their research and the science they are developing to address their topic issue. Pitches will be divided between Basic Research and Translational (Applied) Research. Judges will evaluate the Problem Statement, Solution/Value Proposition, and for Translational the Market Opportunity.
• Company Pitches – includes early-stage and later-stage startups as defined by investment or revenue.  Judges will score all Research metrics, as well as Business Model, Business Team, and Milestones.
